PARIS, June 24 (Xinhua) -- A delegation led by Yang Wanming, president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, concluded a five-day visit to France on Tuesday, with both sides vowing to enhance exchanges and promote China-France and China-European Union (EU) ties.
During the visit, at the invitation of the Brittany Region and the French Association for the Development of International Relations and Cooperation of Culture and Economy, Yang met with Bruno Fuchs, president of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the French National Assembly and Frederic Chole, delegate for the External Action of Local Authorities under the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
Meanwhile, he also met Benoit Pilet, vice-president of United Cities France (Cites Unies France), Loig Chesnais-Girard, president of the Regional Council of Brittany, Xavier Bertrand, president of the Regional Council of Hauts-de-France and other officials from local governments and several friendship organizations.
All parties have expressed their commitment to fully implementing the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, enhancing bilateral exchanges in various fields, and working together to prepare for events such as high-level cooperation forums between local governments of the two countries, to inject vitality into the China-France comprehensive strategic partnership and further advance the China-EU relations.
Yang also attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the China-France Friendship Garden and a presentation of Chinese language teaching at the Emile Zola school. ■
