WASHINGTON, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Bayern Munich winger Luis Diaz was on target as Colombia produced a second-half masterclass en route to a 4-0 friendly win over Mexico on Saturday.
The Cafeteros went ahead through Bologna defender Jhon Lucumi, who volleyed home after James Rodriguez's curling delivery from a set piece.
Diaz extended Colombia's lead by running onto Rodriguez's long pass and lifting a shot over onrushing goalkeeper Luis Malagon.
Jefferson Lerma then made it 3-0 as he smashed home a volley after pouncing on a rushed defensive clearance.
Colombia completed the rout three minutes from time when Johan Carbonero toe-poked a shot between Malagon's legs after Juan Fernando Quintero's pass from inside his own half.
Mexico's best chance to score came in the 90th minute, but German Berterame's effort from 10 yards rebounded off the left post when he had only goalkeeper David Ospina to beat. ■
