BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- Walter Bou and Rodrigo Castillo scored in each half as Lanus eased to a 2-0 away win over Independiente in Argentina's Primera Division on Sunday.
Bou put his side ahead in the 25th minute by capitalizing on a defensive error to fire a left-footed shot into the far corner.
The hosts were reduced to 10 men in the 83rd minute when Santiago Montiel was shown a second yellow card for a bad foul on Eduardo Salvio.
Castillo doubled the lead six minutes later, showing sharp reflexes to nod home from close-range after his initial header rebounded off the right post.
The result left Lanus second in Group B with 23 points from 12 outings while Independiente remains last with six points so far.
In Buenos Aires, a first-half goal from Ivan Morales gave Sarmiento a 1-0 away victory over River Plate. Sarmiento is now eighth in Group B with 15 points, three behind fifth-placed River Plate.
