KIEV, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Tuesday's Russian ballistic missile strikes in Ukraine's central Dnipropetrovsk region have killed 20 people and injured about 300 others, regional governor Sergii Lysak said Wednesday.
Eighteen were killed in the city of Dnipro, and two others died in the nearby city of Samar when an infrastructure facility was hit, Lysak said.
In Dnipro, the raids caused wide destruction, damaging almost 50 high buildings, about 40 educational institutions, 8 healthcare locations and several infrastructure facilities, according to Mayor Borys Filatov.
"In terms of damage, this is probably one of the most audacious attacks on Dnipro," Filatov said on Telegram. ■
