KIEV, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine is hoping to receive the next loan tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in May, local media reported Thursday, citing the country's Finance Minister Alexander Danylyuk.

According to Interfax-Ukraine news agency, Danylyuk has pledged, at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, to fulfill all the IMF conditions for the new loan in the coming months.

In particular, Danylyuk said that the Ukrainian parliament will adopt the law on anti-corruption court and appoint the new head of Ukraine's central bank before May.

The IMF executive board approved the four-year bailout program for Ukraine in March 2015 to help the country carry out reforms and boost its economic development.

Under the cooperation program, the East European country has received more than 8 billion U.S. dollars from the global lender, which helped its economy avoid collapse during the crisis.

The disbursement of the aid was suspended since April 2017 over Ukraine's failure to implement the agreed reforms.

The National Bank of Ukraine said earlier that the country is counting on the IMF to receive a total of 3.5 billion dollars this year.
