WASHINGTON, May 2 (Xinhua) -- Cleveland Cavaliers center Kevin Love teamed up with Toronto Raptors swingman DeMar DeRozan and the NBA for a new, powerful campaign to promote mental wellness among the players.

The NBA released a public service ad(PSA) this week, which will run on major networks throughout the NBA Playoffs and intends to encourage everyone to ask for help on depression. And it's just a part of the 'Mental Health Matters' program launched by the NBA.

"Everyone walks around with something that you can't see," Love states in the PSA. "The best thing I did was to come out and say, 'Hey look, I need some help.'"

"This could be life work, not only for myself but a number of guys that are going to step up in the process," Love added.

"We all go through it. I don't care who you are," DeRozan says in the video clip. "Never be ashamed of wanting to be a better you."

Earlier this year, DeRozan spoke about his struggles with depression, and after that Love also talked about his own mental troubles.

The two All-Stars have helped sparked a national conversation about mental health and the league has ramped up its program, with free mindfulness training for all league and team employees, including meditation.

The NBA will also launch a new website where fans can learn even more about mind health and access a variety of mental health resources.
