CHICAGO, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural futures traded lower on Monday morning as traders now have their eye on increasing trade tensions.

As of 1448 GMT, November soybeans were down 7.5 cents at 8.725 dollars per bushel, while December corn was down 7.5 cents at 3.6375 dollars and September wheat down 11.25 cents at 4.90 dollars per bushel.

CBOT soybeans continued its downtrend as the United States has so far failed to solve its trade dispute with China, its top oil seed buyer.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump recently threatened to levy tariffs on European cars, which could trigger retaliatory tariffs from the European Union on more U.S. products.

Wheat and corn futures posted significant gains during the last session and the prices went down sharply on Monday morning over profit taking. Enditem
