NANJING, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Total revenue from imports and exports hit a record high in east China's Jiangsu Province in 2018.

According to Nanjing Customs, the combined revenue of imports and exports reached 4.38 trillion yuan (646.6 billion U.S. dollars) last year, up 9.5 percent year on year.

Export revenue expanded 8.4 percent year on year to about 2.67 trillion yuan, while import revenue increased 11.3 percent year on year to 1.7 trillion yuan.

Jiangsu maintained good trade with countries along the Belt and Road. Trade with 16 countries in Central and Eastern Europe increased by 14.3 percent, while trade with 11 countries in Southeast Asia rose 12 percent. Trade with 16 countries in West Asia and North Africa was up 10.4 percent year on year.
