LONDON, April 3 (Xinhua) -- British Prime Minister Theresa May and leader of opposition Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn agreed to meet again on Thursday, in order to break the Brexit deadlock following no breakthrough from their talks on Wednesday.

May and Corbyn met for two hours on Brexit, but they failed to reach an agreement how to end the Brexit impasse.

However, a common ground was found by the two sides for more talks on how Britain will leave the European Union with a deal.

After their talks, a Labour spokesperson said, "We have had constructive exploratory discussions about how to break the Brexit deadlock."

"We have agreed a program of work between our teams to explore the scope for agreement," the spokesperson said.

The meeting was held just before the British parliament rejected a plan to hold another round of "indicative votes" after MPs failed to find a majority support for any of 12 proposed Brexit options in the two rounds of the unbinding votes.

Earlier Wednesday, two cabinet ministers resigned in protest of May's decision to talk to Corbyn on Brexit.

Britain has until April 12, the latest Brexit date, to propose a plan to the European Union, which must be accepted by them, or it will leave the regional bloc without a deal. Enditem
