NOVI SAD, Serbia, July 21 (Xinhua) -- The changes in urban and rural China were presented to Serbian art audience on Sunday in Novi Sad through eyes of Chinese art students at a photo exhibition "Reflection in Water".

The 70 works of students of the Communication University of China (CUC) were displayed here to visitors of the gallery "Svilara" located in a reconstructed silk-dyeing factory in cooperation with the Academy of Arts of the University of Novi Sad.

Visitors and authors of the exhibition were greeted by Chen Xingang, program director of BA in TV photography of the Communication University of China and Sinisa Bokan, dean of the Academy of Arts of the University of Novi Sad.

Chen praised the exhibition venue, and thanked for the opportunity to exhibit student works.

"It's not very often for us to have an overseas exhibition, so this is very special. The pictures that you see are the pictures taken by students of CUC during the Spring Festival break," he pointed out.

Organizers stated that there are three parts of the exhibition called "Light and Reflection", "Image of History", and "My Hometown" in which they show their observation of the customs and changes in urban and rural China.

"They have observed the reflections around them, created various mirror images, and formed a rich collection of photographic works," the release reads.

Bokan said at the opening ceremony that the two institutions developed intensive cooperation in past several years, which resulted in this valuable exhibition.

He greeted the authors from China, pointing out that their works contributed to the international importance of the local university of arts and the recently opened "Svilara" venue.

The exhibition will last till July 24.
